One of the missions of the EHTEC is to
work with our community's young people.
Accordingly, we have offered the Arboretum and Nature
Center as a site for projects required to obtain the
Eagle Scout ranking. Completed Projects 2008 - Adam Stroz prepared the Eagle Point Rest
Area, donated and installed three benches, marked the
trails with mile markers and identified trees with
signage.
2009 - David Barkoff built a staircase to the trail
which takes you around the park.
2009 - Tim Walsh built and installed a locking bulletin
board for the pavilion. He added a water resistant
box for flyers.
2010 - Drew Barkoff constructed a bird creek and
orienteering course.
2010 - Glenn McHugh II constructed several
benches at the Meditation Garden, the Eagle Point Rest
Area and Lake View.
2015 - Dalton Scheeler constructed a rain garden
2017 - Ryan Rybka installed a flag pole with
solar lighting
